Calculate Your CO2 Emissions
Global warming is changing Aspen's climate before our eyes.
Know your impact:

Calculating your carbon footprint is the first thing you can do to if you want to reduce your contribution to climate change. You can't change what you can't measure! Knowing the amount of carbon emissions your lifestyle produces and identifying areas where you can make the most successful changes is the best place to start. We offer two ways for you to calculate your carbon footprint.

  1. For your home, car, and travel you can use the calculators we designed for Roaring Fork Valley residents and visitors. Just go to www.canarytags.com! This calculator will also offer you the opportunity to offset your carbon emission through the City of Aspens' locally based, fiscally transparent carbon offset program, Canary Tags.
  2. To calculate and track emissions specifically from your home or business you can fill out the Energy Tracker. Not only will the Energy Tracker help you calculate the emissions from your energy use, it will also help you identify areas where you can make the best energy efficiency investments and reduce your energy bills.
